Rich Heritage-Bright Future

Who we are

Vintage Oxlip Church photo

Our Mission

As seen from County Road 5, the original Oxlip Evangelical Free Church building was the joining of two smaller Swedish Mission churches from the turn of the 20th Century.  An addition was put on in 1980, which became the new center for worship and fellowship.  The latest addition in 2013, provided handicap access and extra space.  Oxlip EFC still consists of a group of hard-working, down-to-earth people who rely on their faith in God for the day-to-day challenges of life.

Oxlip Church is the country church with a congregation size that helps you feel welcome and "at home".  Come, join us.  We would be happy to share a cup of coffee with you.

The Basics

  • Evangelical Free Church of America

The Evangelical Free Church of America is an association of some 1,300 autonomous churches united by a mutual commitment to serve our Lord Jesus Christ with the guidance of the Holy Spirit and obedience to the Word of God.  We are committed to cooperate with one another in ministry and fellowship as we seek to fulfill the Great Commission which Christ has entrusted to His Church.  The growing ministry of the EFCA currently extends to some 45 countries of the world.

  • What does "Evangelical" mean?

The term Evangelical refers to our commitment to the proclamation of the Gospel and to the authority of Scriptures as being inerrant in the original writings and the only safe and sufficient guide to faith and practice.

  • What does "Free" mean?

The term Free refers to our form of church government as being congregational.  Evangelical Free Churches depend upon the active participation of lay people in decision and direction.

Domestic and Global Crises

Opportunity in the Middle of Crisis;  Applications now being taken

When a crisis strikes, we respond. Do you want to help?

Crisis Response partners with churches worldwide to reach their communities and share God’s love in the wake of a crisis, for the long term.

We provide physical relief from water filters to food and clothing. We set up sites to help clean up and reconstruct. We provide trauma care and strategy to help restore hope, rebuild lives and transform communities and individuals.

We organize and mobilize believers from all over the country to come and serve the church and homeowners.

And we need your help.
